PLEASE READ THIS DISCLAIMER CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THE STOOLIO APPLICATION. THIS DISCLAIMER IS A LEGALLY BINDING PART OF YOUR AGREEMENT WITH STOOLIO LLC.

1. Stoolio Is Not a Medical Product

Stoolio is a consumer wellness and informational mobile application. Stoolio is NOT:

  • A medical device or Software as a Medical Device (SaMD).

  • A diagnostic, screening, or monitoring tool.

  • A healthcare provider, medical practice, clinic, or telemedicine service.

  • A substitute for the advice, examination, diagnosis, or treatment of a licensed physician, gastroenterologist, or any other qualified healthcare professional.

  • An emergency response system, health monitoring service, or medical alert tool.

Stoolio has not been evaluated, cleared, approved, or authorized by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), any state health department, or any other regulatory body for any medical, diagnostic, or therapeutic purpose.

2. No Medical Advice

Nothing in the Service — including any observation, score, insight, pattern, comparison, historical trend, or other Output — constitutes or is intended to constitute:

  • Medical advice of any kind.

  • A medical diagnosis or clinical assessment.

  • A recommendation for or against any specific medical treatment, test, procedure, medication, supplement, or health-related action.

  • A professional opinion regarding your health status.

  • An assurance or representation that your stool or digestive health is "normal," "healthy," "abnormal," or indicative of any specific condition.

3. No Professional Relationships Created

Your use of Stoolio does NOT create any of the following relationships:

  • Doctor-patient relationship.

  • Healthcare provider-patient relationship.

  • Therapist-client relationship.

  • Fiduciary or advisory relationship.

  • Emergency monitoring or emergency response relationship.

Stoolio does not owe you any duty of care, standard of care, or professional obligation.

4. Limitations of Algorithmic Outputs

All Outputs generated by the Service are produced by automated algorithmic processes, which may include artificial intelligence and machine learning models. You acknowledge and accept that:

  • Outputs are inherently limited and do not reflect the judgment of a trained medical professional.

  • Outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, misleading, inconsistent, or entirely wrong.

  • Outputs are based solely on the information you provide and the capabilities and limitations of the technology at the time of processing.

  • Algorithms may change over time, and the same input may produce different Outputs at different times.

  • Stoolio does not guarantee or warrant the accuracy, reliability, or clinical validity of any Output for any purpose.

  • You should not make any health, dietary, lifestyle, or medical decision based solely or primarily on any Output from Stoolio.

5. When to Seek Medical Attention

You should consult a qualified healthcare professional promptly if you experience or observe any of the following (this is not an exhaustive list):

  • Blood in your stool or rectal bleeding of any kind.

  • Persistent changes in bowel habits lasting more than a few days.

  • Unexplained weight loss.

  • Severe or persistent abdominal pain or cramping.

  • Signs of dehydration.

  • Any symptom or observation that concerns you.

IN A MEDICAL EMERGENCY, CALL 911 (OR YOUR LOCAL EMERGENCY NUMBER) IMMEDIATELY. DO NOT USE STOOLIO IN PLACE OF EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES.

6. User Responsibility and Assumption of Risk

By using the Service, you expressly acknowledge, agree, and represent that:

  • You are solely responsible for your health and for all decisions regarding your health, including the decision to seek or not seek medical care.

  • You will not rely on any Output as a basis for making medical decisions or delaying medical care.

  • You voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of the Service, including the risk of harm resulting from inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading Outputs.

  • You understand that Stoolio is an observational and informational tool and nothing more.

  • You will use the Service only for its intended purpose as a general wellness and informational product.

7. No Warranty of Health Outcomes

Stoolio makes no representations, warranties, guarantees, or promises regarding any health outcomes, health improvements, health maintenance, disease prevention, disease detection, or any other health-related result from your use of the Service. Past observations do not predict future health states.

8. Regulatory Status

The Service is intended to fall within the general wellness category and is not intended to be a regulated medical device. If any regulatory body determines that the Service or any feature thereof constitutes a medical device or is subject to additional regulation, Stoolio reserves the right to modify, restrict, or discontinue the Service or any affected feature without prior notice or liability.
